A downloadable project

--- NOT A GAME ---

Tinker on Infosec.Exchange proposed working with their local library to create a tool share. Lots of folks pitched in with ideas for additions, and I suggested a paper handout with illustrations of the tools and their names.

So here it is!

I've drawn all the tools in the proposed basic kit:

  • Claw hammer
  • Phillips head screwdrivers
  • Flat head screwdrivers
  • Tape measure
  • Spirit/bubble level
  • Allen wrench set
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Lineman pliers
  • Tongue-and-groove pliers

And labelled them in English and (my best guess at) Spanish. There are also English+BLANK versions, and entirely unlabeled versions for writing your own language in.

Or newbies/kids could use it as a worksheet for learning the names of tools! :D

I'm uploading all the individual tool sketches free for others to use (as transparent .png files) in case anyone else wants to use them for anything.

Contains:

  • 11 hand-drawn tool illustrations
  • 1 .sla file (Scribus open source desktop publishing) for editing the layout
  • 3 .pdf files in English+Spanish, English+BLANK, and BLANK

The .sla file is for the Scribus Open Source Desktop Publishing app - you can open and edit the file there to change the names, or edit the header to reference the library or organization of your choice.
